Jewel Agnes Silvers

Mrs. Jewel Agnes Silvers, age 78, of Adair Street, Calhoun, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at Calhoun Healthcare. She was born in Gordon County on January 6, 1928, daughter of the late Clark and Myrtle Black, and was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. Silvers. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church at Sugar Valley.

Mrs. Silvers is survived by three sons; Greg Silvers, Ray Silvers, and Joseph Corvi; one daughter; Cindy Harper, all of Calhoun; two sisters; Mozelle Thompson of Calhoun, and Mabel Correl of Ringgold. Grandchildren surviving include Curt, April, Brandy, Mark, Andy, Gregory, and Jason. Great-grandchildren surviving include Jacob, Jazden, Destin, Aleigha, and Jade. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jewel Silvers will be conducted on Wednesday, October 4, at 11:00am at the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Maynard Thomas and Ricky Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include, Curtis Silvers, Andy Harper, Mark Corvi, Terry Black, Larry Black, and Jeff Ingle. Tracy Thompson will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday after 9:00am.
