Jessie Lee Griffin

Jessie Lee Griffin, 94, of Fairmount, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 1, 1930, to the late Will and Lisa Timms. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.M. Griffin; son and daughter-in-law, Timmy and Naketa Griffin; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Buddy Parker, Linda and Robert Dilbeck; son-in-law, Billy Horner; brothers and sisters-in-law, A.C. and Benny Timms, Clarence and Hazel Timms; sister, Louise Holbrook; and grandson, Dustin Thomas. 

Jessie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Jeanne Griffin; daughters, Judy Thomas and Sharon Horner; grandchildren, Jackie Corn, Jennifer Hackney, Jessica Guess, Dana Quinn, Donna Rogers, Regina Mitchell, Jonathan Griffin, Jacob Griffin, Veronica Miller, John Thomas, Martin Horner, Belinda Pass, Courtney Lyles, Jeremy Griffin, Jill Brown, and Tara Ewell; great-grandchildren, Haley Sturgill, Emmy Hunter, Brittany Fuller, Logan Guess, Maggie Guess, Shelby Guess, Bonnie Storm, Hunter Quinn, Kenley Rogers, Dylan Rogers, Victoria Gilbert, Tori Johns, Zane Griffin, Ethan Griffin, Austen Miller, Svannah Miller, Gus Miller, Kayla Davis, Sarah Thomas, Montana Floyd Thomas, Will Thomas, Karley Holbrook, Emma Thomas, Colton Thomas, Breana Forte, Brooke Horner, Aundrea Dutton, Tyler Lyles, Zach Lyles, Wesley Griffin, Landon Griffin, Jordon Brown, Griffin Moraitakis, Raylin Ewell, and Kalli Ewell; great-great-grandchildren, Isla Hunter, Brayden Carmack, Kylee Carmack, Audrey Rogers, Kellan Rogers, Dewey Storm, Opal Storm, Jackson Gilbert, Grayson Johns, Oakley Miller, Winston Miller, Jayden Davis, Kyler Davis, Layson Davis, and Maddox Davis, Oaklen Davis, Brynlee Thomas, Jasper Silvers, Brendon Wesson, Paris Dutton, Lane Dutton, Oliver Forte, and Waylon Moriatakis.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM from Pleasant Grove “Ryo” Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Scott and Rev. Chris Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Jackie Corn, Martin Horner, Jeremy Griffin, John Thomas, Jonathan Griffin, and Jacob Griffin. Dustin Thomas will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
