Jerry Wayne Self Sr.

Jerry Wayne Self Sr., 60, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, after three years of declining health. He was born in Dahlonega, Georgia on May 4, 1964, to the late Johnny Marvin Self and Mary Lou Prater Self. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Self, and brother-in-law, Harold Watts.

He is survived by his life companion of 26 years, Teresa Brown; sons, Jerry Self Jr. (Gisela Hench), Cody (Summer) Self; daughter, Cindy (Jason) Haygood; brother, Jermie “Jerald” (Tina) Self; sisters, Evelyn (Kenneth) King, Margie Henry, Melissa (Rickey) Miller; grandchildren, Gavin and Isaac Shaw, Madison, Mason, and Gunnar Haygood, Mason Self, Bianca Hench; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Pack, Asher Zaring, Greyson Haygood; best friend for over 40 years, Perry Dacus; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Jerry loved the outdoors, fishing tournaments, and hunting.

To honor his wishes, he will be cremated, and no formal services will be held at this time.
