Obituary

Jeffrey Lynn Jones, 77, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on June 11, 2022, at Advent Health Gordon. He was born in Martinsville, Indiana on February 9, 1945, to the late Milton and Phyllis Anderson Jones.
Jeffrey served his country in the United States Navy from 1963 until 1969. He retired as a Lieutenant with the Georgia Department of Revenue after 27 years of service. Following his retirement, he volunteered at Cartersville Medical Center from 2010 until 2018, then Advent Health Gordon from 2019 until 2022. He attended Trinity Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Deborah J. Jones; son, Michael (Kari) Jones, daughters, Janet (Marty) Crawford and Helen (Matthew) Hughey; grandchildren, Miranda Crawford, Ella Reese Hughey, Susannah Hughey, Bruce Robertson.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 6:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons with Rev. Jerry Adair officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 14, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Advent Health Gordon Marsha McDaniel Memorial Fund, 409 E. Line Street, Calhoun, Georgia, 30701.
