Jeanne Lynn (Wright) Maxwell, age 72, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanne was born on February 11, 1953, in Calhoun, Georgia, to the late Roy L. Wright and Floy Mae Jones Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Denny Maxwell, and her brother, Michael Wright.
She is survived by her brother, Terry (Louise) Wright; sister-in-law, Shirley Wright; and in-laws, Wayne Maxwell and Linda Shumaker. Stepchildren, Todd (Sue Ann) Maxwell and Tracy (Mike) Maxwell; grandchildren, Bryce (Tyler) Singleton, Kayla (Ryan) Clough, and Karly (Andrew) Dennis; and great-grandchildren, Ira June and Declan Singleton, Gage, Isabella, and Sophia Clough, and Knox Dennis; nieces and nephews, Burt Wright, Amanda Ruddell, Richie Wright, Staci Hill, and Chantel Taylor. Great nieces and nephews, Owen Ruddell, Davis Ruddell, Kristen Wright, Abby Wright, Megan Wright, Bonnie Wright, Elle Taylor, Kellan Taylor, Tyler Hill, Terran (Evan Burnette) Hill and Aiden Wright, one great-great-nephew, Stetson Burnette. She is also survived by her special childhood friends, Sherry Lusk and Barbara Clark, who remained constant sources of love and joy in her final months.
Jeanne had a deep love for cooking and could prepare about anything. Her signature dishes were always holiday favorites, especially her naked cheese ball, Easter bunny cake, and Christmas Chex Mix. She was also a devoted fan of Georgia Bulldogs football.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Harbin Clinic Medical Oncology staff and Homespun Hospice, especially Shanna and Christina, for their compassionate care.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Bowman officiating and Megan Wright in charge of the music. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Owen Ruddell, Davis Ruddell, Tyler Hill, Evan Burnette, and Kellan Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will include Richie Wright, Burt Wright, Jett Puckett, Joey Lusk, Sam Jones, and Harry Brock.
