Obituary

Jean Lester Workman, 75, of Calhoun, Georgia died Tuesday, October 12, 2021, after five months of declining health. She was born on January 14, 1946 to the late McKinley and Ivery Blankenship Lester. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Pearl Lester, Roosevelt Lester, Marvin Lester; sister and brother-in-law, Maggie and Homer Thomas.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy D. and Mary Daugherty; daughters and son-in-law, Pamela D. Pruitt, Sharon K. and Harvey Raye, and Connie Z. Daugherty; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur and Sophia Lester, Shirley Lester, Homer and Mary Lou Lester, Molly Lester; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby and Charlie Cantrell, Mildred Lester; grandchildren, Caleb M. Daugherty, Cody Daugherty, and McKinsey Heath.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be conducted on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
