Obituary
Jean Bennett, 86, of Calhoun, Georgia died Sunday, September 5, 2021. She was born on November 23, 1934, in Gordon County to the late John F. and Lannie Ardell Harris Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charlie Odell Bennett, brothers, Fred Patterson and Howard Patterson, sisters, Catherine Moore and Faye Dodd.
She was an in-active member of Meadowdale Baptist Church. She retired from The Sample Factory.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy (Debbie) of Calhoun, Ricky (Carla) of Alabama, and Rocky of Calhoun; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie (Steve) Miles of Rome, Debra (Eric) Rutledge of Resaca, and Rebecca (Tracy) Pavlovsky of Rome; brother and sister-in-law, Ray (Eula) Patterson of Calhoun; sister, Maxine Roberts of Dalton; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers are, Matthew Bennett, Steven Bennett, Tate Putnam, Joe Bennett, Jonathan Bennett, Justin Slaughter, and George Moore.
