Obituary

Janie Hall King, age 98, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Redmond Hospital in Rome, Georgia. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia.
Janie was born on May 13, 1924, in Murray County, Georgia, daughter of the late Sam and Mamie Hall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom King; son, Lamar Graham; grandson, Keith Quinn; son-in-law, Jerry Quinn; daughters-in-law, Janice Graham and Karen Graham; brothers, Clarence Hall and Ruben Hall; and sister, Ora Clark; brothers-in-law, Lee Mathis and Marvin Clark; sisters-in-law, Louise Hall and Mildred Hall.
Janie and her husband, Tom, owned and operated a restaurant and retail carpet outlet in Panama City, Florida for over 25 years before retiring to Rome, Georgia.
Janie is survived by her daughter, Carol Quinn; son, Larry Graham; and a sister, Ann Mathis; grandchildren, Kelly Quinn (Pam), Jamie Graham (Lydia), Lamar Graham (Angel), and Michelle Stoner; great-grandchildren, Austin Quinn (Kayla), Monica Snow (Chris), Tiffany Lawrence (Jahod), Kayla Stoner (Josh), Brittney Stoner (Stephen), Logan Stoner (Whitley), and Faith Graham; 9 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends Kathy and Linda.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 27th, 2022, from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held on Friday, October 28th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Eddie Brannon and Jamie Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Chandler Cemetery with Bobby Hall presiding. Pallbearers are Kelly Quinn, Jamie Graham, Lamar Graham, Austin Quinn, Rodney Mathis, and Roger Mathis. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Murphy, Chris Snow, Jahod Lawrence, Stephen Jelacic, Melvin Ellison, Charlie Ellison, Marty Ellison, and Tim Morgan.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Janie Hall King.
