Obituary

James W. Leonhardt, 70, of Calhoun, Georgia died Tuesday, January 26, 2021. He was born on July 16, 1950 in Lincoln, North Carolina to the late Joseph Woodrow Leonhardt and Margie Ellis Leonhardt. He was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Morse.
James was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He discovered a new found love for sky diving in his later years. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He will be missed dearly by the ones who loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Leonhardt; daughter, Crystal(David)Rawls; brother, Rev. Michael(Linda) Leonhardt; his only grandchild, Kiersten; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
To honor his wishes his body was cremated and the family will have a Graveside Service on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 from the Graveside of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Burgner officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital.
