James David Wilson, 82, of Ranger, GA passed away at his home May 9, 2026. He was born January 9, 1944, in Calhoun, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parent, the late James Victor and Josie Belle Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Brinda Gail "Thomas" Wilson; daughter, Shelia Wilson, and five brothers, Norman Wilson, Bill Wilson, Clinton Wilson, Jordon Wilson, and Ronald Wilson; one sister, Betty Campbell.

Papa lived for his family. He was an excellent mechanic who was employed by Prater Ford for many years, and later he went to work at Tyco in Marietta until he retired. If it was broke, he could fix it, or at least rig it. He was a member of Curryville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, David Wilson, daughter, Dawn (Mike) Holder; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jason) Duncan, Zachary (Paige) Holder, Zane (Jessica) Holder, Michaela (Ben) Rigdon; great grandchildren, Jace Duncan, Colton Holder, Jaylin Duncan, Dawson Duncan, Connor Holder, Josie Duncan, Claire Holder, Evelyn Holder, Everlee Holder, Carter Rigdon, McKinley Rigdon, Reagan Rigdon, and Lawson Rigdon.

Graveside services for Mr. James David Wilson will be conducted Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Fain Cemetery with Brother John Dorsey officiating. Music will be arranged by Heather Warren.
