James Russell Cannon

James Russell Cannon, 58, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, following several weeks of declining health.  He was born in Calhoun, Georgia on November 6, 1965, to the late James and Barbara Pierce Cannon.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tracy Cannon.

He is survived by his daughters, Brittany Davis, and Melissa Cannon Beasley; sister, Melissa Frain (Douglas); brothers, Michael Cannon, Stephen Cannon, Brian Cannon, and Gregg Carnes; nieces, Hope Frain, and Paige Frain-Rumsey.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.  A brief service will be held in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons at 1:00 PM with Rev. Shane Pierce officiating, followed by burial at Chandler Cemetery.  Pallbearers serving are Steven Rumsey, Jerry Jones, Chris Baldridge, Ben Jones, Edward Pierce, and Steven McDaniel.
