James Hershel Roberts

James Hershel Roberts, 83, of Sugar Valley, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023. He was born on January 14, 1940, to the late John and Nola Roberts. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Roberts, Terry Roberts, Bud Roberts, and Bobby Roberts; and a sister, Ruth Wickham.

James proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a coating manager for Mohawk Industries and was a member of Sugar Valley Church of God.

James is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois Roberts; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Joe Bryant; sisters, Margaret Green, Millie Smith, Betty Sisson; and grandchildren, Benjamin Bryant and Noah Bryant.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM from Sugar Valley Church of God.

The funeral service will follow on Thursday at 2:00 from Sugar Valley Church of God with Rev. Dwaine Shadix and Rev. Joey Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Danny McGaskey, Danny Phillips, Marvin Payne, Wade Reece, Jerry Smith, and Kenny Roberts.
