James "Kenny" Smith

James “Kenny” Smith, 61, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023. He was born on May 21, 1962, in Ellijay, Georgia, to the late James and Bonnie Smith.

Kenny was a supervisor for Sheet Metal Components. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Church in Cartersville, Georgia.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Sara Smith; children, Jared Smith of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Nikkie Smith of Chatsworth, Georgia; brothers, Stephen (Missy) Smith of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Jeff Smith of Leesburg, Alabama; sister, Gilda (Bobby) Williams of Cedar Bluff, Georgia; grandchildren, Mason Smith, Tate Smith, Hagen Stewart, Easton Stewart, Brentley Austin, and Lochlen Smith. Nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Smith and Rev. Roy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Gary Young, Tommy Young, Paul Allen, Ryan Emmett, Miguel Austin and Blake Green.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
