Obituary

James "Jimmy" William Green, 77, of Ranger, Georgia, passed away at his residence on Friday, September 30, 2022. He was born in Dalton, Georgia on January 13, 1945, to the late James and Trudy Green. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Green; brother-in-law, CB Vaughn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Paulette Green; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Dwayne Whitfield, Melanie and Allan Webb, Vicki and Bob Fetter; sisters and brother-in law, Pat Vaughn, Mary and Dick Geraci; grandchildren, Stephen and Alyssa Whitfield, Corey Whitfield, Alex Cheeks, Carrie Cheeks, Becca Cheeks, Brandon Webb, Bella Webb, and Brayden Webb; great-grandchildren, Channing Whitfield, Harper Whitfield, and Ava Whitfield.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 6:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Parker officiating. The grandsons and great-grandson will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons on Sunday, October 2, from 4:00 PM until the service hour.
