Jackie “Baldy” Pack, 78, of Sugar Valley, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025. He was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on December 4, 1946, to the late Sam and Josie Hobgood Pack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bud Pack, Curtis Pack, Sam Pack, and Gene Pack; sisters, Shirly Ann Hall, Helen Sheriff, Janie Pack, Louise Mulkey, and Evelou Pack; and grandson, Bradley Blevins.
Baldy was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a hard worker. He enjoyed bass and striper fishing and deer and dove hunting. Baldy also loved to play the guitar. He founded and owned Baldy’s Muffler Shop, now owned by his oldest son.
Baldy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Pack; children, Jeannie Pack Hastings (Melvin), Buddy Pack (Lesia), Jackie Pack Jr. (Sharon), and Brittania Pack Parker (Kody); grandchildren, Kayla Grizzle, Sarah Pack, Waylon Pack, Ali Pack, Lisa Pack, Buddy Pack Jr., Megan Thigpen, Lane Parker, Jase Parker, Brody Parker, and Karter Parker.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Brandon Grubbs officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kody Parker, Waylon Pack, Lane Parker, and Russell Gilbert. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Martin, Ronnie Roberts, and Tristen Gordon.
