Irene Gilbert Miller, 85, of Fairmount, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She was born in Sevierville, Tennessee, on February 24, 1939, to the late Luther Robert and Mary Romines Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude J. Miller; son, Claude Ricky Miller; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Jack Lamore, Mary Jean Johnson, Wilson Rogers; and brother, Luther Gilbert Jr.; and loving grandmother (mother), Etta Gilbert. 

Irene was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church for 54 years. She was the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend anyone could have. 

Irene is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Rachel Miller; daughters and son-in-law, Beth and Dale Hall, Patricia Huskins; sister, Wanda Rogers; brother-in-law, Edward Brownie Johnson; grandchildren, Andrea (Dana) Gravitt, Sherry Green, Christine (Paul) Bunch, Susanna (Chad) Criss, Crystal Hall, David Miller, Madison (Ty) Dutton, Kaydee (Jordan) Robbins; great-grandchildren, Easton Ray, Tanner Ray, Skyler Bunch, Linden Bunch, Brayden Tomlinson, Jaxon Tomlinson, Ella Criss, Lane Dutton, Paris Dutton, Lainee Dutton, Nelson Gravitt, Adam (Stephanie) Gravitt and their children, Lasha (Steven) Proper and their children; and Irene’s fur baby, Jet. Nieces and nephews also survive. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Concord Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 3:00 PM from Concord Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Miller, Ty Dutton, Jordan Robbins, Easton Ray, Tanner Ray, and Nelson Gravitt. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Bunch, Dana Gravitt, Chad Criss, and Dale Hall. 

Following the service, the church will have a meal prepared for immediate family members in the fellowship hall.
