Ida Blanche Bell

Ida Blanche Franklin Bell, 91, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023.  She was born in Morganton, North Carolina on September 19, 1932, to the late Robey and Cora Wilson Franklin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randall Bell; brothers, Arthur Franklin of Morganton, NC, Lewis Franklin of Morganton, NC; sisters, Dorothy McCall of Morganton, NC, Kitty Sue Cobb of Morganton, NC, Mary Lou Crump of Morganton, NC, Mattie Pearl Franklin of Morganton, NC; special friend, Bill Ross.

She is survived by her daughter, Teri Bell; son, David Bell and his wife Kirsten Fox; brother, Luther “Bud” Franklin of Morganton, NC; sister, Betty Ross of Morganton, NC; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ida’s caregiver, Debbie Thompson, and her nurses, Michelle Coleman, Alyssa Jeffrey, and Megan Morgan.

To honor her wishes, her body was cremated, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
