Mr. Howard "Ricky" Starnes Sr., 64 of Calhoun, GA, died Saturday, April 24, 2021 at WellStar at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.
Ricky was born on February 26, 1957 in Monroe County, NC, son of the late Howard Starnes and Bleaker Knight Starnes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Smallwood "Granny" Starnes on January 31, 2015.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Lowes as a Plumbing Pro.
Survivors include his daughters, Tiffany (Shonta) Spear, Tonya Heath, Sue (Talford) Manning; son, Ricky Starnes; five sisters, Cindy Bentley, Nancy Stewart, Sheila Knight, Jean Chosewood, Brenda Starnes; one brother, Jeff Starnes; Thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Howard Rickey Starnes, Sr, will be held Saturday, May 1st at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 30th, at the funeral home between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
