Hazel Silvers Jackson
Hazel Inez Silvers Jackson, 86, of Calhoun passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at AdventHealth Gordon.
Jackson was born the daughter of the late Lummie Silvers and Alma Pauline Parker Silvers on Nov. 25, 1937 in Gordon County.
Jackson is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hubert Jackson, son Darrell Jackson, Daughter Paula Jackson Dodd, grandson Bryce Dodd, and her sister Betty Fain. She is survived by her son Doug Jackson and his wife Sharon; three sisters – Ora Mae Fain, Mary Ruth Burchett, and Joyce Gentry; four brothers – M.L., Artrell, Ricky, and Jeff Silvers; three grandchildren, Alex and Grant Dodd, and Eric Jackson; and four great grandchildren Aria Eden Dodd, Cass Dodd, Charlotte Jackson, and Thomas Jackson.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Son's funeral home.
A funeral for Mrs. Jackson will be held at First Apostolic Ministries of Calhoun on Saturday, March 16, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. with Max Brannon and Sons in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers include nephews Mark Burchett, Mitchell Fain, Steve Fain, Blake Silvers, Gary Silvers, Jake Silvers, and Henry Cox.
The family asks that food and flowers be omitted.
