Harold George Crump

Harold George Crump, 92, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026. He was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on September 28, 1933, to the late Neal and Pearl Sisson Crump. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harlan Crump; sister and brother-in-law, Claire and Tom Silvers.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margie Lee Crump; sons, Gerome (Jodi) Crump, Timothy Crump; daughter, Devone (Mark) Gardner; brother, Carl (Jerrie) Crump, sister-in-law, Evelyn Crump; grandchildren, Andrew Crump, Andrea (Zack) Mitchell, Kelsey (Caleb) Jordon, Briggs Williamson; great-grandchildren, Emma Mitchell, Ace Mitchell, Mattie Claire Jordon, Allie Kate Jordon; nieces and nephews who he loved dearly and his faithful animals, Ellie and Lucky.

Harold owned and operated the Calhoun Ace Hardware for many years. He also served as a Gordon County Commissioner and was the President of the Sonoraville Alumni Board until 2020. He received his 60 year Apron as a member of the Coosawattee Lodge #306. He was a member of Rockbridge Church.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Homespun Hospice, his amazing nurse Allison who he loved, and the sweet sitters Crystal and Sabrina that cared for him; and Dr. Elisa Jaramillo who was his loving doctor for many years.

A private graveside service will be held at Fain Cemetery.
