Harold E. Black

Harold Edward Black, 86, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. He was born in Centre, Alabama, on December 30, 1937, to the late Millard and Lavader Black. 

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Loney Mae Black; son, Jerry Black (Debbie); daughter, Joyce Thompson (David Massengel); brother, Winston Black; sisters, Wanda Callahan (Jerry), Winnie Ruth Anderson; grandchildren, Diana Thompson, Kristopher Thompson, Mitchell Black, Timothy Black, Shannon Pierce, Brandi Black; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Family friends, Gary, Annie, and Alex Faucet; and nieces and nephews also survive. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Boone Ford Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 1:00 PM from Boone Ford Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Quarles, Rev. Leamon Smith, and Rev. AJ Waters officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kristopher Thompson, Andrew Baker, Mitchell Black, Brett Black, Timothy Black, and Tristen Black.
