Obituary

Glynese Hancock Pierce, 74, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 after several years of declining health. She was born on March 22, 1948 to the late Clemon and Berta Lee Green Hancock. She was preceded in death by her son, Roy Edward Pierce Jr.; brothers, John Thomas Hancock, Clayton Lee Hancock, Curtis Ray Hancock, Jacky Burnette Hancock, and Steve Allen Hancock; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie Mae and Ellis Owens, Wilma Jean and Ed Brookshire, Patsy and Ray Patterson, James Goble, and Calbert Cox.
Gynese is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Roy Edward Pierce; son, Dominique Edward Pierce; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Michael Hooker, Sabrina and Chris Stone; granddaughters which Gynese and Roy raised, Amanda Whitner Larios, Tammy and Over Gomez Perez; brothers and sister-in-law, David Lawrence Hancock, Clarence Gordon Hancock, and Gary Douglas and Nancy Hancock; sisters and brother-in-law, Dymple and Orvell Townsend, Sue Lane Goble, and Nancy Cox; and grandchildren, Ruslan, Leyla, Charity, Zonya, Isaiah, Madyson, and Arianna.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Calhoun Full Gospel Fellowship Church, 1927 Rome Rd SW, Calhoun, GA 30701.
The funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM from Calhoun Full Gospel Fellowship Church. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Tracy Patterson, Chad Cochran, Randy Cox, Reggie Goble, Over Gomez Perez, and Nicholas Hancock. Honorary Pallbearers are Brad Cochran, Anthony McEntire, and Kaleb Pierce.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Glynese Hancock Pierce.
