Obituary

Glenda Faye Riffey Gee 78, of Calhoun, Georgia died Wednesday, January 19, 2022. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on July 2, 1943 to Edward and Marie Riffey. Proceeded in death by husband of 60 beautiful years, Phillip Gee. Parents Edward and Marie Riffey. Sister-in-law Vivian Riffey. Aunts Evelyn Dally, Edna Duncan.
Glenda later met Phillip when she was in high school. They both fell so deeply in love and married March 18, 1961. God gave them such a beautiful, loving, happy, and long marriage.
Glenda retired after working as a dedicated secretary for twenty plus years for Gordon County Bus Shop. She loved and cared so deeply about every person she came into contact with. Glenda never met a stranger. She made everyone feel loved, cared for, and appreciated. Glenda always had a heart of gold, she always spread positivity and the words of the Lord. She always had the right words to say in every situation, no matter what. Glenda made you feel like you were no different than anyone else. She always made time to listen to you, give you some words of wisdom, and give you the biggest hugs. She had a feisty, corky, funny, out-going, loving, genuine, social personality. To know her was to truly love her.
Glenda devoted her time to the Eastern Star and volunteered at the Shrine Club with Phillip. She had the most caring heart and enjoyed dedicating time to others. Glenda really cherished the time she spent with family, friends, and loved ones. She enjoyed traveling around the country, taking bike rides on Phillips Gold Wing, baking, cooking and making memories. Glenda truly was an angel sent from heaven above.
Survived by son Patrick Gee, daughter-in-law Beth Bratton Gee. Granddaughters Braeden Gee, Raeven Gee, Haley Bratton-Gee, Bailey Bratton-Gee. Grandson-in-laws Blake Hobgood, Justo Nunez. Brothers Robert Riffey, Larry Riffey. Sister-in-law Carolyn Riffey. Aunt Joann Fritsche. Nieces Kristi Riffey, Kimmie Riffey. Nephews Brian Griffth, Sam Riffey. Several great nieces and nephews. Glenda has many favorite bible versus to cherish with her family and friends. Her most loved verse was Philippians 4:13
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be conducted on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Black officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens.
