Obituary

Geneva Brown, 90, of Ranger, Georgia died Monday, March 7, 2022, at her home. She was born on February 10, 1932, in Gordon County to the late L.C. and Emma Hollifield Sluder. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Virgil Brown; siblings, Ernest Sluder, Vesta Hammontree, Clyde Sluder, Hazel Ratcliff, Clem Sluder, Lona Fowler, Jordan Sluder, Jeanette, and Jim Sluder.
Geneva was a lifelong member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald L. Brown Sr. (Cynthia); daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Ayers (Jon); sister, Ruby Ratcliff; grandchildren, Kylee Zulueta (Jose), Donald "Lamar" Brown Jr. (Brenda), Celeste Manzano (Chad), and Rebecca Price (Ron); 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Rodgers and Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jose Zulueta, Donald Lamar Brown Jr., Chad Manzano, Ron Price, Elijah Brown, and Lamont Fouts.
