Gary Michael Cochran

Gary Michael Cochran, 68, of Adairsville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. He was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on June 9, 1958, to the late William Cochran and Jean Moss Cochran Kendall. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his siblings, Teddy Richard Cochran, David Cochran, and Gayla Annette Self.

He is survived by his children, Chuck Frye (Cookie), Shawn Frye, Aaron Cochran, Jennifer Townsend (Wesley), and Caleb Cochran; brother, Douglas Lamar Cochran (Kay); grandchildren, Brianna Frye, Ashlon Stavrow (Daniel), Aubrey Olsen, Zach Costlow (Samantha), Austin Cochran, Maggie Moerman, Roman Townsend, Ebin Townsend, and his great-grandchild, Joseph Wesley Stavrow; nieces and nephews, Jarrod Cochran, Jeremy Cochran, Keith Cochran, Derrick Cochran, Michael Todd Holden, Lori Mechelle Blalock, Katrina Evette Cronin, and Angelia Renae Stone.

Gary was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the many memories he created throughout his life. His greatest legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, siblings, and all those who loved him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Wes Townsend, Caleb Cochran, Zachary Costlow, Aaron Cochran, Shawn Frye, and Roman Townsend.

The family would like to thank everyone who has offered their love, prayers, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
