Garry Lynn Tomlinson

Garry “Droopy” Tomlinson, 73, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026. He was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on November 5, 1952, to the late Jack and Ann Tomlinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmie Tomlinson; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Byron Meadows.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Charlotte Tomlinson; brother and sister-in-law, Frankie and Teresa Tomlinson; grandchildren, Dominic Gladney and Kait Johansson.

Garry loved to hunt and be outdoors. He loved his family dearly and attended Newtown Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with B.J. Swanson and Matthew Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Oostanaula Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Craig, Lamar Reynolds, Joey Gallegos, Dominic Gladney, Gene Gladney, and Gary Walraven.
