Frances V. Norred

Mrs. Frances V. Norred, age 80 of Resaca, Georgia died Sunday July 15th in St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.

Mrs. Norred was born on August 13th, 1926 daughter of the late Garnet and Mamie Ferguson Scarbrough. She lived the greater part of her life in Lagrange, GA moving to California and later moving to Gordon County to make her home here. Mrs. Norred was a loving mother and was a caregiver to those in need. She was a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church and was a member of the Eunice Jones Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Norred is survived by three daughters; Diane Martinez, and Karen Brown both of Resaca, GA. Sandra Anderson of Texas. Two sons; Ricky Norred of Texas and Don Norred of Duluth, GA. One brother, Donald Scarbrough of Arizona. Thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Scarbrough Norred will be held Tuesday July 17th at 11:00 AM from Meadowdale Baptist Church with Dr. Steven Pearson officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include; Randal Norred, Justin Childress, Cody Rogers, Philip Silver, Bill Anderson and Brian Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will include members of the Eunice Jones Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the Meadowdale Baptist Church at 1811 Rome Rd. Calhoun, Georgia 30701.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening between the hours of 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
