Obituary

Evelyn Pettit Gaines of Calhoun Ga. Passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on May 23rd, 2021.
Evelyn was born on January 22, 1937, to Charles and Bertha Pettit in Calhoun Ga.
Preceding her retirement, Evelyn was employed at Bostic Inc. in Calhoun Ga. for many years as a Bookkeeper. Following her employment with Bostic she was employed part-time as a Payroll Specialist at The Diaki Corporation in Adairsville Ga.
Evelyn was predeceased by her parents Charles (Charlie) and Bertha Pettit, her late husband Charles W. Gaines, her daughter Rebecca (Becky) Benton, Donald Wade, brothers Olan, Rusty, Trammel, Jimmy and sisters Catherine Mashburn, Faye White Abbott, Nan Taylor and Sue Pettit Kirk.
She is survived by her son Charles (Courtland) Gaines, her two daughters Beverly Gaines, Kelly Erwin and Son in Law Brent Erwin, along with many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family at 1 pm on Friday, May 28th at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with service to follow at 2:30 pm. Burial will be at Chandler Cemetery immediately following the service.
