Obituary

Mr. Eugene "Gene" Conwell Holbrook, 84, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022. He was born on October 22, 1937, to the late Gordon Andrew and Virdie Rickett Holbrook. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Holbrook Bowman.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jeanette Rogers Holbrook; son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Allison Holbrook; Gary and Kelly Champion, who he considered his son and daughter-in-law; son-in-law, Greg Bowman; brother-in-law, Bob Woodson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margurite and Chris Bonds; grandchildren, Chase and Dawson Holbrook, Gage Bowman, Tessa and Kyle West, Karley Thomas; great-grandchildren, Everett West; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM from Grace Church, 401 Peters St, Calhoun, GA 30701.
The funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday at 3:00 PM at Grace Church with Pastor Tim Reid, Rev. Stacy Hensley, and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chase Holbrook, Gage Bowman, Dawson Holbrook, Kyle West, Randy Holbrook, and Tony Holbrook.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Mr. Eugene "Gene" Conwell Holbrook.
