Mrs. Ethel Nell Barnett. age 63 of 200 Davis Drive; Calhoun, Georgia; died Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Floyd Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. Barnett was born on March 13, 1943 in Mitchell County, Georgia; daughter of the late Harold Hill Glass, Sr. and Cleo Belt Glass. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Barnett and by a daughter; Mary Alice Williamson. She was a homemaker and a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church.

Mrs. Barnett is survived by three daughters; Nellie Ann Smith and Barbara Bearden both of Calhoun, Georgia; and JoAnn Hall of Plainville, Georgia. Three sons; Jessie Williamson of Frankfort, Ind.; Lamar Williamson of Fairmount, Georgia and Joe Barnett of Calhoun, Georgia. One sister; Deborah Ann Brinson of Calhoun, Georgia. Two brothers; Harold Glass, Jr and Robert Charlie Glass both of Resaca, Georgia. Ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Nell Barnett will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Tallent officiating. Pallbearers serving will include; Gene Patterson, Donovan Downer, Gene Smith, Brennon Galloway, Jeremy Seabolt and Michael Crider. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Center Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday evening during the hours of 6 until 9 p.m.
