Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts, 89, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023. She was born on November 17, 1933, to the late Ragan and Odell Greeson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Roberts; her sons, Avery Roberts, David Roberts, Ken Roberts, and Timothy Roberts; and daughter-in-law, Karen Roberts.

Emma was a member of South Calhoun Baptist Church since 1962 and was a longtime Sunday School teacher. Emma was a lunchroom manager at Calhoun City Schools and was known for passing out extra cookies. She loved flowers, butterflies, dancing, and singing in the choir. Emma was very proud of her big family and always supported her children and grandchildren.

Emma is survived by her son, Kelly Roberts (Laronda); daughters, Carol Alford (Mark), Candi Knight (Donald), Judy Benton (Kevin); grandchildren, Jamie Williams, Emily Murphy, Tiffany Jackson, Cassie Ferguson, Garrett Roberts, Glavine Roberts, David Roberts, Grace Holcomb, Hunter Knight, Logan Knight, Gus Roberts; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Emma, Chloe, Austin, Ragon, Bentley, Chase, Ella, Abigail, Trent, Amelia, Harper, Lowen, Knolan, Wade, Willow, Henry, Forrest, Vivian, Ryder, Asher, Kash, and Beckett.; and special friend, Boyd Baker.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at South Calhoun Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 3:00 PM from South Calhoun Baptist Church With Rev. Clifford Free and Rev. Jason Pace officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Brannon conducting the graveside service. Pallbearers  serving include Garrett Roberts, Glavine Roberts, David Roberts, Hunter Knight, Logan Knight, and Gus Roberts.
