Emily Marie Griffith Holcomb

Emily Marie (Love) Holcomb, 86, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, surrounded by her family. She blinked her eyes and met her savior.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on July 18, 1939, to the late Oshie and Lillian Love. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Holcomb; siblings, Clarence Love and Marge Tigner; sons, Robert “Bob” Griffith and Jerry Griffith; son-in-law, William “Bill” Johnson.

Emily is survived by her daughters, Ellen Johnson and Carol (John) Hughes; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Her greatest joy was her family, and her love lives on through 5 generations, who continue to be blessed by her example.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 12:00 Noon from Hampson Cemetery, 5460 Lancaster-Thornville Rd., Pleasantville, Ohio, 43148.
