Mrs. Ellen Crider, age 87 of Fairmount, Georgia died suddenly Sunday, April 01, 2007 at the Cartersville-Emory Medical Center.

Mrs. Crider was born on June 11, 1919 in Gordon County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Crider in 1994; a grandson; Tony Elton Hibberts; a sister, Jean Lynch and a brother, Emmet Hales. During her lifetime, she was employed as a machine operator in the textile industry. She retired from Lacey Mills and she was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church near Ranger, Georgia.

Mrs. Crider is survived by two daughters; Doris Hibberts and her husband Troy of Cartersville, Georgia; Wanda Mize and her husband Walter of Acworth, Georgia; five grandchildren; Janieth Muse, Glenn Hibberts, Susan Hendrix, Randall Hibberts and Brian Mize; fifteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren; and one sister, Bernice Hall of Dalton, Georgia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Crider will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Earnest Channell officiating. Singing will be arranged by The New Hope. Pallbearers serving will include; Kenneth Hales, Arthur Lynch, Jimmy Johns, Steve Cantrell, Grady Burger and Steve Brannon. Burial will follow the service in the family lot at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday after 2:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or you may make a contribution in memory of Mrs. Crider to the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund.
