Elizabeth Jeanette Ellis, 82, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026. She was born in Adairsville, Georgia, on May 5, 1944, to the late John and Dora Towe.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Alfred “Charles” Ellis Sr; daughters, Melanie (Kenny) Rogers, Cindy Dixon, Sonia Ellis; sister, Grace Carnes; grandchildren, Katie Rogers, Mecaela Casey, Matt Casey, Andrew Ellis, Karli Rogers, Bryant Ellis, Samantha (Nick) Hayward; great-grandchildren, Mady Janow, Gunner Ellis; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

Jeanette was a firecracker that loved her family fiercely. Known by everyone as Nana, she was sassy and would certainly give you her opinion on any subject. She loved her Lord and Savior and was a dedicated member of Eastgate Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 12:00 Noon from Eastgate Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Larry Towe officiating. Pallbearers serving are Andrew Ellis, Bryant Ellis, Nick Hayward, Mike Stamey, Gary Silvers, and Jeff Towe. Gunner Ellis will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family would like to thank David, Michelle, and all the staff at Homespun Hospice for their loving care.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Elizabeth Jeanette Ellis.
