Elizabeth Ann Boggs Young

Elizabeth Ann Boggs Young, age 80 of Fairmount, GA, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the residence after several months of declining health. The daughter of the late Carl and Ruth (Tilley) Boggs. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Dean and Delaine Young, Geneva West, J.E Flood, Tom Townsend.

Ann is survived by her husband of 62 years, Cecil Eugene (Josh) Young. They were devoted to one another from day one. Brothers-in-law, Wayne and Patricia Young of Calhoun, GA; Raymond West of Fairmount, GA. Sisters-in-laws, Shirley Townsend of Blairsville, GA; Ruthell (Jo) Flood of Chatsworth, GA. Even though they were not blessed with children of their own, they chose to think of all children as theirs and every child loved them.

Ann devoted most of her life to the medical field. She began her career at the original Gordon Hospital in Calhoun, GA. She spent the majority of her career at Family Care of Cartersville with the late Dr. Donald Evans. She later retired from Bridgemill Family Healthcare in Canton with Drs. Donahue and Porter.

Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Boggs Young will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Howard and Chaplain Greg Hall officiating. Music will be provided by Sally Jones, Gina West, and the East Damascus Church Choir. Interment will follow in Damascus Cemetery in Ranger, GA. Pallbearers include: Ben West, Terry Young, Steve Flood, Ellis Payne, Mickey Young, Cody Young, Liam Scott, and Gibson Scott.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
