Eleanor “Elaine” Kauffman Weirich

Eleanor “Elaine” Kauffman was born February 14, 1945, to Mark and Thelma (Miller) Kauffman at Sheldon, Wisconsin. Elaine married Burdette E. Weirich on April 30, 1967.

Elaine passed away December 10, 2023, at her residence in Ranger, Georgia. She was 78 years, 9 months, and 26 days.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Burdette; a granddaughter, Jennia; her parents; two brothers, John and Paul; and a sister, Sarah.

Survivors include her 4 daughters: Regina (Doug) Andrews, Joleen (Joseph) Robbins, Viola (Jeff) Carpenter, Thelma (Nolan) Hunsberger and 2 sons: David (Elaine) Weirich, and Nelson (Joanna) Weirich. And 19 grandsons, 15 granddaughters, and 2 great-grandchildren. Also her siblings: MaryLou (Paul) Byers, Esther Carter, Stella Kauffman and Andrew (Karla) Kauffman.

Elaine accepted Jesus as her Savior at a young age and was a member of the Meadow View Mennonite Church at Resaca, Georgia. Elaine enjoyed reading, quilting, and babysitting, until blindness crept in. She lived in Wisconsin for 73 years, then they moved to Georgia to be closer to their children.

The visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Meadow View Mennonite Church, 1212 Henry Gallman Rd. NE, Resaca, Georgia 30734.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Meadow View Mennonite Church.
