Obituary

Edna Elizabeth Kirby, 79, of Rome, Georgia died Saturday, January 15, 2022. She was born on July 11, 1942 in Calhoun, Georgia to the late Paul Wesley and Hattie Emalize Jackson Grizzle. She was preceded in death by her son, Jim Kirby; brother, Jack Grizzle; sister, Loretta Grizzle Greeson.
Edna retired from Carriage Industries.
She is survived by her children, Mike Kirby, Tim (Joy) Kirby, and Mark Kirby; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Swift officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
