Obituary

Earnest Ledford, 79, of Adairsville, Georgia died Monday, March 28, 2022, after a sudden heart attack. He was born on February 19, 1943, in Trion, Georgia to the late Dewey and Maggie Stancill Ledford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death loving wife in 2015, Vickie Nicholson Ledford and by his son-in-law, John Wilson.
Prior to retirement Earnest was employed by Mohawk and CMS as an industrial mechanic. Earnest was a member of East Calhoun Community Church.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Sandi Ledford of Kiln, Mississippi; daughters and sons-in-law, Stacie and Arthur Hughes of Cartersville, Becky and Brian Rich of Calhoun, Gail and Phillip McAtee of Dalton, and April Wilson of Dalton; 15 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; other relatives also survive.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Reggie Nation officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery near Resaca. Pallbearers are, Lee Ledford, Reed Hughes, Wayne McAtee, Daniel Patterson, Richard Hughes, and Eric Harrison. Honorary pallbearer, Hayven Ledford.
