Douglas Lee Johnson

Douglas Lee Johnson, 44, of Cohutta, Georgia passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.  He was born in Calhoun, Georgia on August 12, 1979, to Jean Blanton Petty and the late Miles Douglas Johnson.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Regina Blanton; grandparents, Hastel and Annie Mae Blanton, Mary Parker, and Walter Johnson.

He is survived by his mother, Jean Blanton Petty (Mike Ellison); aunts and uncles, Jackie and Kathy Petty, Frankie and Debra Blanton, Mary Ray; two very special nephews, Colt and Colby White.  Several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

To honor his wishes, his body was cremated.  A service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 1:00pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
