Doris Richerson Smith

Mrs. Doris Richerson Smith, 82 of Calhoun, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at her daughters home. She was born in Floyd County on October 6, 1934, daughter of the late Paul and Maude Simpson Richerson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Smith, and her son, Scotty Smith.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Regina Smith; her daughter, Cheryl Waters; her daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Holcomb Smith; a sister, Blanche Smith of Cedar Bluff, AL; grandchildren, Kelli Waters, Angela Waters, Matthew Smith, and Nicole Joyce; a step-granddaughter, Andrea Burris; and great-grandchildren, Aalysa, Lana, and Whitney Watson, Wyatt Bradshaw, and Carson and Hayden Burris.
At Mrs. Smiths request, her body was cremated and no services are planned.
