Obituary

Doris Nevelle Worley Blackstock, age 94, of Calhoun, Ga passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Gordon Health and Rehab following years of declining health. Doris was born on May 19, 1928, to the late Curby Maxwell Worley and Annie Lucille Moore Worley. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Martin "Marty" Blackstock; sisters and brother-in laws, Nellie (Roy) Parks, Gussie (Jack) Holland, Sue (Willard) Bearden; brothers, Max (Ruby) Worley, George (Ann) Worley, Charles Worley and Winfred Worley.
Doris is survived by her sons, Bennie (Rita) Blackstock and Bryan Blackstock; brother, Donald (Faye) Worley, sister-in-law, Beverly Worley. Special granddaughter, Ashley Blackstock (Brett) Silvey, grandchildren, Tyron Blackstock, Eric (Mandy) Blackstock, Steve (Sheri) Cowart, Tonya (Glen) Cleveland, Tracy (Glenn) Stanley, Jamie (Coela) Blackstock, special great-granddaughter, Briana Silvey, great-grandchildren, Cameron (Amber) Blackstock, Brooke Blackstock, Makensie (Jesse) Barr, Jordan Cowart, Azlin Cleveland, Colton Cleveland, Lance Blackstock, Lindsey Blackstock, Ashton Stanley, Saidi Stanley, Makayla Blackstock, Austin Blackstock; great-great grandchild, River Barr, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The funeral service for Doris Blackstock will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 3:00pm at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Dino Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tyron Blackstock, Eric Blackstock, Jamie Blackstock, Lance Blackstock, Colton Cleveland, Kevin Benton and Calvin Benton. Honorary Pallbearers are Rachel Godfrey, Elaine Kelly, Pat Bryant, Shirley Hammontree, Jean Holden, Erwin, Everette, David and Walter Lowe.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
