Donald A (Tony) Tumlin

Mr. Donald Anthony (Tony) Tumlin, 71, of the Red Bud Community, Calhoun, departed this life Thursday, April 11, 2024, following a heart attack.

Tony was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 23, 1953, the son of the late Johnnie Donald and Dellaree Ellen Lewallen Tumlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Tumlin, and a brother-in-law, Willie Thomas. Prior to retirement, he worked as a detailer for KJ's Auto Sales. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Tony never met a stranger. He was passionate about helping others. He loved deer hunting, watching westerns, and collecting rocks. But above all, he loved his family, especially his grandkids, Kyra, Trent, and Grayson. He was the first to tell his kids and grandkids how proud he was of them.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gail (Smith) Tumlin, to whom he was married 52 years; daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Blake McDougal; son and daughter-in-law, Casey and Jody Tumlin; sisters, Cathy Thomas and Debra Tumlin; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Lorane Brown; grandchildren, Kyra McDougal Hartel and her husband Adam, Trent McDougal and his wife Daniela, Trent McDougal and Grayson Tumlin along with nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 16th, at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday prior to the service from 5:00 PM until the service hour of 7:00 PM.
