Obituary

Delmar Stanton Garner, 76, of Calhoun, died Wednesday, August 4, 2021. He was born on January 20, 1945 in Ellijay, Georgia to the late Joe and Ruby Garner. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Garner and sister-in-law, Cindy Underwood.
Delmar was a faithful member of Bethesda Baptist Church Where he was always ready to serve and served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Francis Garner; son, Gary Keith Garner (Candy); siblings, Cleve Underwood, Harold Garner (Yvonne), Jim Garner (Patricia), Mary Jo Smith; sister-in-law, Ozella Garner; grandchildren, Chelsie Garner, Savanah Garner, Amanda Dodson, John Mason Anthony, Samantha Upshaw; great-grandchildren, Acelynn Parker Bradley, Iris Monroe Bradley, Emelia Rose Garner, Kylin Chanel Ware, Rowynn Orsha Logan.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 6, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bethesda Baptist Church.
His body will lie in state on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the service hour of 10:00 AM at Bethesda Baptist Church. Pastor Wesley Hunt will officiate. Burial will follow in Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are John Mason Anthony, Doug Brown, Derek Bagley, Jeremy Thomas, Josh Edwards, and Brett Boatman; honorary pallbearer, Shauna Seeber.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Mr. Delmar Stanton Garner.
