Debra Ann Lilley

November 30, 1962 — April 12, 2026

Walled Lake

Debra Ann Lilley, known as Debi by friends and family, was an outgoing, humorous, happy woman with an infectious laugh. Debi enjoyed concerts with friends, spending quality time with her family, and spending days on the beach. She believed time was the greatest gift, and she used every opportunity to make those around her smile. If Debi could pick an ideal afternoon, it would be to cuddle with her late cat Shady, whom she loved more than anything, eat Mexican food for dinner (with a margarita, of course), and end it with chocolate peanut butter ice cream. She was infinitely full of joy, and if you knew her, you knew how much of a blessing it was just to live in her presence.

Debi graduated from Romulus Senior High School on June 12th 1980, and later received her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Schoolcraft College in July 1997. Happily retiring this past January, Debi dedicated 45 years to her role as a devoted Electrical Designer III for DAIFUKU.

On April 12th, 2026, Debi passed away at age 63 peacefully with her brother, Don Lilley, and sister-in-law, Kim Lilley, by her side. Debi was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 30th, 1962. She was a resident of Walled Lake, Michigan; she left it a little more beautiful than it was before her. Debi is preceded in death by her late mother, Barbara Lilley and is survived by her father, Gerald Lilley, brother, Don Lilley (Kim), nieces, Samantha (Evan) and Brooke (Colton), great-niece and great- nephew, Adaline and Gabriel, as well as her aunt Vicki.

Debi passed with no biological children, but she looked to her nieces, Samantha and Brooke, as her own, and Adaline and Gabriel looked up to her as a bonus grandmother more so than a great-aunt, as Debi was a consistent and important part of their lives, making sure she was always in attendance for holidays, birthdays, and sporting events. Her absence will create a void that can never be filled. After all, grief is just love with nowhere to go.

It was Debi’s last wish not to have a funeral or service, but asks that you contribute or donate to a cat rescue of your choice if you wish.

Debi discussed wanting to be remembered for all the amazing times and moments she has left behind, making sure her imprint lasts forever in memories. We will miss Debi beyond measure.
