Deborah "Debbie" Diane (Nicholson) Walraven

Debbie Nicholson Walraven, 66, of Sugar Valley, Georgia, departed this life Monday, April 15, 2024, at Emory University Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia, following a period of declining health.

She was born in Cartersville, Georgia, on April 4, 1958, the daughter of the late Junior Nicholson and Mildred Louise Buttrum Nicholson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Floy Walraven. She was a member of the 1976 graduating class of Fairmount High School and was employed by Constantine Carpet as Vice President of Manufacturing before retirement.

Those who survive her include her husband, Bobby Walraven; daughter, Tammy Walraven; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Hollie Walraven; grandchildren, Logan and Kendra Walraven, Averie Walraven, and Allie Walraven; sister, Pat Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Lisha Nichelson; Timmy and Marsha Nicholson; nieces, Melissa Nichelson Brannon, Marlee Nichelson; nephews, Rodney Thomas, Kolby Nicholson; great nieces, Anna, Jenna and McKenna Brannon, Ella and Sophia Nicholson and Blaklee Allen; special sisters, Janet Craig and Debbie Wyatt; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Shirley Walraven and Jack Moorehead. and Larry Walraven; nieces and nephews, Diane Allen, April Crawford, Melea Romine, Tony Moorehead, and Marty Moorehead.

The funeral service will be held Friday, April 19^th, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Eddie Brannon officiating. Music will be arranged by Sally Jones. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Hall Memorial, with Dr. Garry Tate in charge of the graveside service. Pallbearers include Kolby Nicholson, Rodney Thomas, Logan Walraven, Steve Black, Jeff Romine, and Bryson Romine.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 18th, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
