Deborah Johnson Glore, a well-known resident of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 27, 1952, to the late Robert and Esther Karr Johnson, she graduated from the 1970 class of Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Georgia. She continued her education at Berry College in Rome, Georgia, and later served as an administrator at Grandview Health Care Center in Jasper, Georgia.  She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves Fan and was a member of Sonoraville Baptist Church. Debbie adored her family and cherished her many friends.

Debbie is survived by her two daughters, Marie McGill and Selena (Jeremy) Fletcher; sister, Cheryl Laughlin, and her husband, Chuck, along with her grandchildren: Macy Wilbanks, Jason Kyler Galmon, Adysen Parris, C.J. McGill, and Karringtyn McGill; niece, Lanisa Laughlin, Corey Parker, a family friend whom she loved as a son; and her 11-year-old fur baby, Buddy, as well as other beloved family members.

A service to celebrate Debbie’s life is scheduled for Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 12:00 Noon at Sonoraville Baptist Church, with Rev. Jamey Hunt and Dwight West officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 7th, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Sonoraville Baptist Church. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
