In Loving Memory of David William McBride

David William McBride, 54, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on August 28th 2026. He was born on August 25, 1972, in Martinsville, Virginia.

David was a one-of-a-kind man whose presence could light up any room. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh that made the people around him smile. His laughter, stories, and unmistakable personality will remain treasured memories in the hearts of all who knew him.

An incredibly talented and experienced outdoorsman, David found great joy in hunting and fishing. He loved being outdoors and had a deep appreciation for the peace, adventure, and memories found in nature. Those who shared those moments with him will forever carry them close to their hearts.

His family meant the world to him, and he was deeply loved and adored in return. Though his time with them was far too short, the memories he created will live on for generations.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Barker; his true father figure, Roger Martin; his aunt and uncle, Cathy and Jessie Morrison; and uncle Bruce Fulcher.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two daughters, Jennifer McReynolds and Sara Fee; two grandchildren, Aaliyah Dailey and Trystan Fee; his younger brother, Roy McBride; the mother of his children, Karen Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews, along with many other family members and loved ones whose lives were touched by him.

David will be remembered for his big heart, his humor, his adventurous spirit, his love of the outdoors, and especially for the joy he brought to the people he loved.

He was loved deeply, he was cherished dearly, and he will be missed forever.

Those we love don’t go away.
