David Eugene Adams passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in his home surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandgirls, who never left his side in his final days.
He was a loving husband, father, PawPaw, and friend. He was known for his great personality, cutting up, and having a good time. You always knew where you stood with David. He was a 1969 graduate of Fairmount High School. The first half of his adult life he worked in the carpet industry and at one time, owned Dalton Carpet Connection. Later he went back to school and opened up Outboard Marine Shop in the Sonoraville community. He enjoyed going to car shows with his son Chad and hanging out with all their friends. The last 13 years of his life him and Neva had the luxury of traveling the country together and making new friends. Living the ultimate retirement dream! They lived life to the fullest.
David was known by his two grandgirls as being the “coolest PawPaw ever”. When David found out he had terminal cancer, he called his family together to tell them how much he loved them and said, “We’ve had a good ride!” He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, and grandgirls.
David was born in Cleveland, Tennessee, on July 11, 1951, to the late Max and Pauline Adams.
David is survived by his wife of 25 years, Neva Adams; sons and daughters-in-law, Chad and Paula Adams, Heath and Tonya Lambert; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Scott Blaylock; and granddaughters, Baylee Blaylock and Halley Adams.
To honor his wishes, his body was cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of David Eugene Adams.
