Daniel Wayne Jones Jr.

Daniel Wayne Jones Jr., 42, of Resaca, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was born in New Albany, Indiana on January 23, 1982, to Daniel Wayne Jones Sr. and Twilla Elaine Sweetman. He is preceded in death by his wife, Melinda Sue Essary.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Matt Burke, Tyler Esquivel; daughter, Kayla (Pierre) Nelson; brothers, AJ (Courtney) Sweetman, Tommy (Candace) Sweetman; sister, Patrica (Andrew) Patterson; father, Arlo Sweetman; grandchildren, Shawn, Karone, Melinda Nelson; grandparents, Bea Thompson, Patricia Pence; and eleven nieces and nephews. Several aunts and uncles also survive. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 4:00 PM from House of Deliverance.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Max Brannon and Sons to help with funeral expenses.
