Obituary

Daisy Lucille Smith Beets, 90, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022. She was born in Cherokee, Alabama on January 4, 1932, to the late Joseph and Ruby Bearden Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paris Beets, and son, Bobby Ray Smith.
She was a member of House of Prayer Baptist Church.
Daisy is survived by her son, James Glen Taylor; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Randy Mashburn, Pamela and James Fulk; brother, Walter Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Albert Ridley, Martha and Lebron Ridley; grandchildren, Ryan Taylor and Elizabeth Akens; great-grandchildren, Madeline Taylor, Kaylee Akens, and Grace Akens.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Daisy Lucille Smith Beets.
